I take a limited number of requests for commissioned portraits each year. Portraits requested are usually pets/animals but other subjects may be considered.

I prefer to work with high quality digital photos. Feel free to send as many as you’d like and we’ll work together to choose the best one for the portrait. If you do not have a good-quality photo, which is often the case in memorial portraits, I will review the photos that you do have to determine if a portrait
can be created. Please understand that the quality of the photo has a great effect on the level of realistic detail in the final piece.

Your portrait will be created using professional, lightfast, museum-quality materials. And with proper framing and care, will last for years to come.

I ask for a 25% booking fee to begin the commission with the balance due upon completion. The portrait will arrive temporarily mounted for safety with a complimentary mat. Shipping in the
continental US and Canada and taxes are included in the price. If you are local to the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, I can deliver the portrait in person with proper arrangements.

Portrait sizes are based on paper size. The portrait will be a good size within the paper area and will take into account standard framing requirements. I work with five standard sizes, but I will be happy to discuss custom sizing.
